San Pedro

As many of you possibly guessed, this is San-Pedro cactus. This plant is pretty small, but looks like that someone already took a bite of it.

Usually the cactus is used for shamanic rituals, mostly in Peruvian Andes. As you probably know, jungle shamans use Ayahuasca. Medicinal practices of Andes have their own secrets and sacred plants as well as unique methods of work with mind and body.

The difference between Ayahuasca and San-Pedro is that San-Pedro is considered a father and Ayahuasca – a mother. I’m not really sure if its 100% correct because I have never had such a strong effect from the cactus as from Ayahuasca. I do know that it helps in curing spirit and body and it can be used as external remedy. It can be applied to inflammated or injured areas – it would help to kill the pain.

Depending on the location, the methods of San-Pedro’s usу differ.
