Una de Gata

Well, let’s continue to study plants and let me introduce our friend: Una de Gato, the Cat’s Claw. This is a liana and it can climb many meters high.

They call this plant Cat’s Claw because it has cant’s energy or cat’s spirit. Its branches are armed with thorns looking like claws of a cat. You can see it right here. This particular feature distinguishes it from other lianas which may look similar.

It is a medicinal plant. To use it, you need to remove bark and clean the core. The core is the medicine, which helps to cure diseases of kidneys, urinary tract, bladder pain and a great number of infections. In each culture where Una de Gato grows, the application methods can vary.
